![]() ![]() ![]() I tend to be provocative when #triggered. Sorry my salty mouth let this post dribble out. I like to call this the reverse hipster racist. Just like cultural appropriation, most of the issues we see are superficial and taken in a narrow-minded way that offends the viewer rather than the viewer being more open minded like they preach. Not everything that can be perceived as sexy is sexualizing or marginalizing a gender, race, some other political ideal. Rule 34 will dictate that humans (mostly men) will sexualize and masturbate to anything. We laugh and slowly we'll all stop caring. We look at games like Rust and Conan Exiles and see a ♥♥♥♥ or a tit. They are charactures of ideals and stereotypes. My point is, video game characters do not represent real life. I can remember seeing the scars of my mother/lover who got an abortion to become the first person in space and how it traumatized me into starring in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PSP game. It disrespects those who do actually suffer from physical trauma. It makes me feel sexualized when I know I'll be held up to unrealistic standardsĪlso as a veteran who served this country in the cold war (after the second world war, when the world was split into two, east and west), I don't appreciate seeing Herec or Alicia display scars or wounds. I personally don't enjoy wearing tight clothes that accentuate my budding manhood or exasperate my flabby curves. I find this metod highly destuctive.Īs a male gamer, I find it particularly discouraging that all the men have crotch bulges and lots of muscle definition. I ask it becouse a lot ot modern femenists have this tendency to just ban or change (posibly destroing char individuality in process) everything they see as wrong. Let me ask it diferently what you think is rightġst add some new and unic fem characters(without sexualisation) OR skins that made them less sexyĢnd Remove or chnge core characters to be less sexy Maybe i said it wron (lnag barier maybe) I dont ask you this question frome development point of view. If someone acknowledge it and in the future works on it (maybe even in another videogame), that would be awesome. I know that it is a change that needs a lot of time. ![]() ![]() If they could take it into account and maybe at some point work on it, it would be awesome. Just pointing out that it would have been awesome if they've worked on a different and less normative and male-oriented way of portraying women).Īs I said, I love the aesthetic and the game. In the end, there is a lot of work already in them made by the developers ( Which, by the way, im not saying is bad at all. Removing or changing a character is pretty difficult. I want to ask 1 question if you could chnage something about this in the game what will you doġst add some new and unic fem characters(without sexualisation)Ģnd Remove or chnge this characters to be less sexy Originally posted by Asriel Dreemurr:Ok i kinda intrested in this topic as a whole( i have a different point of view but now this is not imortant) ![]()
